The ‘More correct Information, Less Discrimination’ training course is now available online

The More correct Information, Less Discrimination online training course has been available since 25 March 2026.  This online course is designed for journalists, journalism students, communicators in the activism field, and content creators. Its goal is clear: to improve the quality of information while combating stereotypes and disinformation about migrants and racialized people.

The course is free, available at any time, and offered in Italian, English, Spanish, and Greek, allowing participants to learn at their own pace according to their schedules and needs.

The program is structured into five interactive modules:

  • Module 1: Addressing racist and discriminatory language in media

  • Module 2: Narratives on migration

  • Module 3: The risk of stigmatization and racialization through images and videos

  • Module 4: Media literacy

  • Module 5: Building new narratives and fostering cooperation

Concise, practical, and highly engaging, this training equips participants with essential tools to understand the link between information and discrimination, and to actively promote more accurate, inclusive reporting.

A few days before its official launch, the African Media Association Malta held a training session at MCAST in Mosta on Monday, 23 March. First- and second-year journalism students had the opportunity to explore the course content firsthand and engage with its main themes.

The MILD project aims to strengthen the skills of journalists and activists in monitoring and countering disinformation about migrants and racialized communities through research, training, and communication campaigns.
