The dangers of drugs
Drugs are chemical substances that can change how one’s mind and body works. Drugs are also used for treatment, but too much of it can be very harmful to the body.
Many of the youth today can not do without it .Drugs in our society today have cost more harm than good, so this project ( RadioLit) is targeted to reduce the incidence of use and to create awareness of the dangers of drugs and also prevent use of substances by immigrants.
Some type of drugs in our society today
How do people consume it?
By chewing or by injecting it into the system. Some also put it in their drinks.
Too much drugs in the body can cause cancer, stroke, eye diseases, lung disease, depression, mental disorders and many more diseases.
How can it be avoided?
If addicted to drugs, one can do many things:
See a medical personnel for advice on what to do.
Avoid places where it can be found.
Avoid places where one knows alcohol is available.
Surround oneself with friends who don't use it.
Learn how to cope with stress and relax without drugs.
Distract oneself with activities, exercise or listen to music.
Talk to someone about it.
Believe in oneself, convince oneself that you can do without it.
My advice to parents is to always have time for their kids. Always ask about their well being, know the kind of friends they interact with, always have a heart to start conversations with your kids.
This can help to know about their mental health and prevent the use of substances.
