The atmosphere at San Grigor Garden in Żejtun set the perfect stage for the event organised by The Community Police aiming to show their human side, break down negative stereotypes, and demonstrate that they are here to protect community harmony and build trust.
Held on the 19th September 2025, the day celebrated Malta’s mix of communities and cultures, offering a space to connect, learn, and enjoy shared experiences.
It also provided an opportunity to discover and appreciate the traditions of communities living together on the island.
The organisers made a point to welcome participants into a world of cultural exchange through dance, traditional clothing, music, and food, highlighting the richness of Malta’s diverse population.
During the event, African Media had the chance to interview a local police officer, who shared a powerful insight: “In Malta, there are other communities living with us, and they are here to stay.”
This reflected a collective awakening : a growing awareness of the importance of understanding and engaging with others for a stronger, more cohesive community.
The video of the event captures these moments of celebration, dialogue, and shared learning reminding us that inclusion is not just a concept, but a practice that enriches everyone.
The Police Inclusion Event was organised with the support of the Żejtun Local Council.
