Empower to Integrate – Season 1 Overview

Empower to Integrate is a radio programme created to provide a platform for migrants and Third Country Nationals (TCNs) to share their lived experiences while engaging in meaningful dialogue with Maltese experts and institutions.  The programme promotes inclusion, understanding, and social cohesion through structured and respectful conversations.

Season 1 of Empower to Integrate, broadcast from 4 April to 4 July 2025, featured 13 episodes and 25 guests from diverse nationalities and professional backgrounds. The series explored key aspects of migration, integration, rights, identity, culture, family life, employment, education, housing, mental health, and community relations in Malta.

Through these episodes, Empower to Integrate created space for honest conversations that move beyond headlines and statistics, centring human experience, shared responsibility, and collective solutions. Our strategic editorial choice to pair lived experiences with expert insight highlighted both the challenges and opportunities of building inclusive communities in Malta.

As Empower to Integrate prepares to launch Season 2, the foundation laid in Season 1 will be expanded through deeper exploration of identity, family dynamics, gender roles, culture, belonging, and mental wellbeing. Season 2 episodes will be broadcast from 1 April to 24 June 2026. The programme remains committed to amplifying diverse voices and fostering constructive dialogue across Malta’s multicultural landscape.

The programme Empower to Integrate is produced in partnership with African Media Association Malta and Aditus Foundation, broadcast on RTK 103. It is funded by the Asylum, Migration, and Integration Fund (AMIF) and co-financed by the European Union, in collaboration with the Parliamentary Secretariat for European Funds.
