Empower to Integrate

The Empower to Integrate project is an initiative designed to promote mutual understanding, respect, and collaboration between Third Country Nationals (TCNs) and Maltese communities. It is founded on the principle that empowered communities, those with a strong sense of identity, rights, and responsibilities are more likely to engage with others in a respectful and understanding manner, thereby paving the way for successful integration.

Funded by the Asylum Migration and Integration Fund (AMIF), this project celebrates diversity and emphasizes the importance of social inclusion in fostering a cohesive society.

At its core, Empower to Integrate champions empowerment, integration, and engagement. The initiative is co-led by the Aditus Foundation, a leader in human rights advocacy, and the African Media Association Malta (AMAM), a migrant-led organization amplifying migrant voices. Together, these organizations leverage targeted research, policy development, and media programs to create impactful, community-driven solutions.

Understanding the Project and Its Partners

At the heart of Empower to Integrate is a commitment to empowerment, integration, and engagement. Led by the Aditus Foundation, a pioneer in human rights advocacy, and the African Media Association Malta (AMAM), a migrant-led organization dedicated to amplifying migrant voices, the project combines research, policy development, and media programs to create impactful solutions.

While Aditus focuses on research and policy advocacy to strengthen Malta’s integration framework, AMAM produces migrant-led radio programs that give TCNs a platform to share their stories and foster dialogue. Together, these organizations work to break down barriers and build a society where every individual feels seen, heard, and valued.
